To which Country Saint-Martin belongs?

Saint-Martin is a special island in many ways. A small island divided in two countries :
Sint Maarten belongs to the Dutch and Saint-Martin belongs to the... FRENCH!

Both sides of the island offer a different experience and have different assets. The border is between is open so everybody can venture around this island as they wish, at all time.
Which currency is used in Saint-Martin?
You can pay in two main currencies when visiting Saint-Martin:
- Euros (the main currency of the French side)
- US dollars (the main currency of the Dutch side)
As a result of the open border, both of those currencies are accepted on both sides.
Why Saint-Martin's nickname is "The Friendly Island"?

Thanks to its bi-nationality status and it's central location in the Caribbean, Saint-Martin is an island composed of a huge melting pot of nationalities.

Starting with the Dutchs and the Frenches, but also with people coming from all over the Caribbean, South America and North America. Everybody is friendly welcomed to our dear island.
What is the most popular time to visit Saint-Martin?

Our high season starts around the 20th of December - for Christmas break - and ends at on the 30th of April. Our Caribbean "winter" is pretty warm and welcoming!

The middle season goes on from the 1st of May until the 31st of August and allows our lucky visitors to enjoy a perfect weather without the crowed.

Our low season is in September and October, as it is also the hurricane season which comes along a very hot and humid forecast.

Between the French and the Dutch side of Saint-Martin, there are 38 incredible beaches on Saint-Martin.

All of them are worth the visit with only white sand beach, turquoise and crystal clear water and most of the time, a bright sun to color your skin.

We do have a little preference for the french side which is well known to be more charming and authentic in every ways (facilities, restaurants...).

Its beach (Orient Beach) belongs to the top 10 best beach of the year, every year... With its 1,5 kilometers lenght of white sand beach and turquoise water, there is place for everybody!

Its location, only a few minutes - driving distance - to all the hot spots of Saint-Martin (Pinel Island, Grand-Case, Anse Marcel, Marigot).

It's village spirit, with all the facilities needed (beach restaurants, gastronomic restaurants, supermarket, french bakery, hair dresser, ice cream shop...).
